As we returned home last night I looked at the sky and said to the kids, “It looks like rainbow weather.”
They agreed. A big storm had passed through a few hours earlier. There were still dark clouds about but they were beginning to clear. The grey light was bright. Sunlight was returning.
We scoured the sky for a rainbow and seeing none headed indoors. Moments later we received these photos from two dear friends who know about our connections to rainbows.
There was indeed a double rainbow nearby!
The kids and I smiled. We dropped the homework books, the screens and the saucepans and dashed outside to see if we could catch a glimpse. We saw the tail end of one arc just before it faded.
Seeing a rainbow in person or through the lens of a friend always lightens our hearts and lifts our spirits.
